‘Slinky’ slimmers are sparkling this party season!

Dazzling slimming mums Jo McKay and Nicky Elms are getting ready to shine this Christmas party season after achieving an amazing 11 stone weight-loss between them.

Nicky Elms, who has lost 7 1/2 st, was voted as the Melksham Town Hall Slimming World group’s Miss Slinky 2018, and Jo McKay, who has lost 3 1/2 st, was named Miss Slinky of the Spencer Sport & Social Club Slimming World group after their fellow members were wowed by their achievements.

Both Nicky and Jo have transformed their lives by becoming healthier and happier, slimmer and more confident, and were thrilled to win their respective group titles.

The pair began following Slimming World’s Food Optimising healthy eating plan, which encourages members to satisfy their appetite on healthy foods like pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, fish, fruit and veg and more. Slimmers are able to lose weight without ever going hungry and still enjoy treats without feeling deprived, so there’s no need to miss out on their festive favourites this Christmas.

Carmen Middleditch, who runs the Town Hall and Spencer’s Slimming World group, which Nicky and Jo attend, says she’s extremely proud of both slimmers. 

She said, “Christmas is a time of year for getting dressed up and having a good time. However I know a lot of my members have told me they’d often dread it because they felt uncomfortable and out of place at parties, which is just so sad. 

“This year I know Nicky and Jo and will feel completely different from previous years. I hope they’ll be accepting every invitation they receive and showing off their fabulous new zest for life – they definitely live up to their new titles of Miss Slinky in my eyes.

“I’ve no doubt that they’ll inspire other people to lose weight too and show that whether you’ve got a little or a lot of weight to lose, slimming down can make a big difference to how you feel about yourself and really boost your confidence. Nicky and Jo are both happier, healthier and fitter, and every week the group love hearing about their progress.
