Snap Fitness gym opens in Melksham

A NEW state-of-the-art gym has opened in Melksham.

Snap Fitness, at the Challeymead Business Park, boasts top-of-the-range Matrix equipment, a large free weights area, a 24/7 Fitness on Demand studio, a full timetable of exercise classes, virtual classes and personal training.

The team at the new Snap Fitness is headed up by father and son team, Dalvinder and Sam Aujla.

“We’re delighted to be opening our new gym here in Melksham and we’re sure gym goers will be impressed by the facilities and the training on offer,” said Sam.

“We’re in a fantastic spot on the Asda roundabout – you can’t miss us – we’ve still got scaffolding up, but don’t let that put you off!

“We’re part of Snap Fitness which is a national franchise but with all the gyms individually owned, so you get the best of both worlds – a family business backed by a national brand.

“Snap Fitness is a great model because it doesn’t tie you into any contracts; if you get injured or move, for instance, you don’t end up paying for something you don’t use any more.”

Dalvinder and Sam already run two other gyms in Christchurch and Crosshands in Wales and have an experienced and friendly team in place in Melksham.

“Our aim is ‘exercise with a smile’,” added Sam. “That is the way the fitness industry is going, moving away from the ‘metal clanging’ of weights; we want everyone to feel comfortable coming here and we have already received lots of really positive feedback.

“We’ve found it really rewarding because you see people transforming their lives; it’s an amazing feeling being able to help people achieve their fitness goals.

“We offer a safe, friendly and inspirational environment; whatever you want from your local gym, with a personal touch.

“Pop in and have a coffee and a chat. We offer a free trial, have friendly staff and would love to see you.

“Our virtual classes are particularly popular – you can take any of our 2,000 classes at any time. Come and try zumba, yoga, pilates, hip hop dancing or any of the others to see which one suits you best!”

Snap Fitness offer 24-hour access, top-of-the-range workout equipment, flexible month-to-month rolling memberships, unlimited group fitness classes (both live and virtual), a separate spin room with classes morning and evening, cardio and free weights areas, skiing machines and a massage gun station with five massage guns and five vibrating rollers to help your recovery process.
