Melksham Town 2-3 Bristol Manor Farm
Heartbreak summed up Melksham Town’s home loss on Saturday, going down to two late, late goals to big spending Bristol Manor Farm.
The visitors took a 13th lead but a Jake Andrews’ free kick ensured parity at half time. The home side went ahead mid-way through the second half when the impressive Henry Sady set up Jake Brown for his third goal in two games.
A missed Sam Hendy penalty gave the Bristol side hope and they took the initiative with an equaliser following the miss. Minutes later the away team scored the winner when Britain, the league’s leading scorer, thumped home a penalty.
Manager Mark Collier said, “We have a deflated dressing room, it’s a game we were in total control of for a long period. The penalty miss was a turning point; the miss gave the impetus to Manor Farm and they took full advantage “
