Do you shrink when you are asked to organise a meeting or even worse chair it?
Do you um an err and wish the floor would swallow you up or you could just run away and hide?
Sheila Jackson of Melksham Speakers says, “It is all down to confidence and that can be gained by being an active member of Melksham Speakers Club.
“Join a friendly group of people who all want to gain confidence and when asked to do something unusual and we have to move out of our comfort zone, we can and with confidence put ourselves forward and get on with it.
“Wishing you could speak without um an err, wishing you could speak to a few or many people, wishing you were not shy and wishing you could achieve will do no good at all. Wishing achieves nothing being active does.
“Join us and we will show you how your life can be more fulfilling because you have gained the confidence to do the tasks you wish you could do.
“We meet at the Rachel Fowler Centre, Market Place, Melksham on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm.”
