MELKSHAM Speakers commences again on Tuesday 12th September at the Rachel Fowler Centre at 7.30pm.
Sheila from the club says, “The last year has been full of surprises with members finding themselves being given microphones to give a spontaneous response to a question from an audience, to giving a presentation with little notice, preparing a training course and delivering it to a high standard.
“But the best surprise of the year came when one of our members who joined three years ago with a goal of improving his leadership and social skills within the organisation which is know as Lions clubs and LCI, went to Chicago.
“Melksham Speakers Club has not only equipped him with the skills to achieve his aim, but has allowed him to go higher than he ever thought possible. He went on a fully sponsored ten day trip to Chicago where he worked hard through many seminars, but at the same time was able to enjoy some of the culture of that amazing city.
