MELKSHAM Carnival’s annual ‘Spot the Oddity’ has returned.
The annual competition involves shops hiding something in their window display, which they wouldn’t usually sell – an ‘oddity’, for people to ‘spot’.
Sixty-five businesses are taking part this year – more than originally planned.
Organisers say, “When filling in your entry form, for any shop numbers that aren’t on the sheet, please use the back of the sheet noting your answer next to the corresponding number.
“Entry sheets are £2 each and are available from the Town Hall, Autoline Service Station on Spa Road, and Edwards Stationery. Closing date is Sunday 1st September and the prize for the most correct answers is a beautiful family-themed gift basket.”
