Stonar School teacher, Sarah Cross, is to feature on a new BBC One show to be aired this spring.
Nick Knowles hosts the new BBC daytime series, ‘Home is Where the Art Is’. Each episode features three artists who specialise in different disciplines, competing for a commission to produce an original piece of art for a new buyer. The buyer sets a brief and maximum budget for the commission. The artists then get to tour the buyer’s house for clues about their tastes and personalities before preparing a pitch. From the pitch the buyer then chooses two artists to produce their piece, and finally buys one of these at the agreed price.
Sarah said, “It is an amazing opportunity to be a part of this show and have my work seen by so many viewers. Nick Knowles was lovely to work with and filming was good fun.”
Dr Sally Divall, head of Stonar said, “Our students will be inspired by seeing their teacher’s work in front of a national audience, as well as professional artists’ work from a range of disciplines. We congratulate Sarah on being selected for the series.”
