A MEMBER of Melksham Speakers Club, Sheila Jackson, won the evaluation competition during a regional conference this month.
Ben Crook said, “Sheila Jackson beat other speakers in the evaluation competition held during the Association of Speakers Clubs South West Regional Conference, in Cardiff on Sunday 8th April.
“She was up against speakers from the rest of the region, tasked to observe and then objectively evaluate a speech given by a fellow speaker. The evaluations given by those competing were judged by a panel, with winner and runner-up places being awarded.
“Sheila will now proceed to compete at the National Conference in York later in April.”
