YOUNG Melksham have an exciting line-up of clubs, activities and day trips planned to keep the youth of Melksham entertained over the summer holidays.
Organisers say, “We are open as usual over the summer holidays, plus we have arranged extra daytime activities during the week and some special day trips. Our summer programme runs from Monday 30th July through to Friday 31st August.”
Mondays
Afternoon – 2pm to 5pm (£2.50) Fun and games for all age groups who normally attend club.
Evening – 6.30pm to 9pm (£2) Our usual No Limits youth club for young people with SEND aged between 13 and 25.
Tuesdays
Afternoon – 2pm to 5pm (£2.50) Fun and games for all age groups who normally attend club.
Evening – 6pm to 8pm (£2) Our usual youth club for years 5 and 6. Going up to Year 5 in September, you are welcome to attend as well.
Wednesdays
Afternoon – 2pm to 5pm (£2.50) Fun and games for all age groups who normally attend club.
Evening – 6.30pm to 9pm (£2) Our usual youth club for years 7 and 8. Going up to Year 7 in September? you are welcome to attend as well.
Thursdays
Evening – 6.30pm to 9pm (£2) Our usual youth club for years 9 and up. Going up to Year 9 in September? you are welcome to attend as well.
Fridays
Evening – 6.30pm to 9pm (£2) Our usual youth club for years 9 and up. Going up to Year 9 in September? you are welcome to attend as well.
Day trips this summer
Beach day at Weymouth – Thursday 2nd August – £25
Leaving Melksham at 8.30am we will travel to Weymouth for a day on the beach, with a visit to see the Olympic Rings on Portland in the afternoon. Bring a packed lunch and spending money. Returning to Melksham for 6.30pm
Cycling on the Jurassic Coast – Thursday 9th August – £30
Leaving Melksham at 8.30am, we will travel to Weymouth where we will collect our hire bikes and then explore the amazing coastline. Bring a packed lunch and spending money. Returning to Melksham for 6.30pm
The Little Mix Experience – Saturday August 18th – £30
Leaving Melksham at 9.30am, we will travel to Weston-Super-Mare and have a walk along the sea front before enjoying a packed lunch (please bring). An afternoon of sight-seeing will end with a fish and chip supper, followed by a visit to The Playhouse Theatre to see The Little Mix Experience. After the show we will return to Melksham, arriving back just after 11pm.
Splashdown – Thursday 30th August – £30
No summer would be complete without a visit to Splashdown in Poole. We’ll leave Melksham at 9am and spend the day at the popular water park. Bring a pack lunch or money for the adjoining fast food outlets and we will be back in Melksham for 6.30pm.

All day-trip bookings must be paid in advance and are non-refundable, although if you should have to cancel, we will try to resell your place for you. All trips are subject to us selling enough places to viably run the trip and are subject to cancellation. In the event of having to cancel the event, we will refund in full any payments made to Young Melksham.
