Melksham lost a familiar face last week when Superdrug on Lowbourne closed down, but the shop will soon be replaced by Savers Health and Beauty.
Work has already begun on transforming the previous store into its new state; the interior has been stripped and the signs removed.
Savers Health and Beauty and Superdrug are both subsidiaries of the same parent company – A.S. Watson – and have taken over one another’s premises across the country a number of times.
Savers Health and Beauty is an established company with over 290 stores in the UK, which sell “mega-discount” toiletries. Savers prides itself on aiming to be the most competitively priced health and beauty products, and household goods retailer on the high street.
Melksham’s closest branches of Superdrug are now in Trowbridge, Chippenham and Devizes.
