WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance will benefit from a new partnership with The MOT Centre & Garage on the Hill.
The family-run business based in Bowerhill have agreed to donate their time and effort to service and MOT the charity’s vehicles, including the rapid response vehicles (RRVs) and charity cars.
The MOT Centre & Garage on the Hill has been carrying out MOTs, repairs, servicing, diagnostics, exhausts, brakes, batteries and more since 1985, proudly expanding year on year.
The family and staff from Garage on the Hill said, “In recent years we have seen Melksham grow. Along with this, we have great pride in seeing the arrival of Wiltshire Air Ambulance in nearby Semington.
“Now that we are so close to the airbase, we see how often the team are called into action. Having had the opportunity to go over and meet all the hard working and dedicated staff, you start to see and feel the real importance of Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the work they undertake.
“This incredible team and their equipment are funded by normal people donating time, money and effort. They can play such a vital role in saving lives, so it’s in all our best interests to work together to support and raise funds where we can, to help keep us all safer.
“As a local family business, we are so proud to be able to offer our services to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and hopefully we never need to use their services.
“From the whole team here at The MOT Centre & Garage on the Hill we look forward to working with and supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance.”
Des Regan, fundraising manager for Wiltshire Air Ambulance said, “We’re very grateful to Ben Johnson and his team for offering their services and helping to ensure we keep our costs down for our vehicles, including the two RRVs which are called to emergencies across the county and beyond.
“To have such support from a local company, based just around the corner from our airbase, is fantastic and we can’t thank them enough.”
