MELKSHAM Seniors invite you along for a Thames river cruise on Tuesday 11th September.
Departing from the Market Place at 9.30am you will take a trip from Marlow to Henley on Thames along the river, with leisure time at both places.
During the cruise you have the possibility of seeing the sights of Bisham Abbey (originally a preceptory of the Knights Templar), Temple Lock, Hurley Lock, Medmenham Abbey (established by Cistercian monks, the manorhouse was later the base of the infamous “Hell Fire Club”), Culham Court, Hambleden Lock, Greenlands (built in 1604 and besieged for six months during the civil war), Fawley Court (attributed to Sir Christopher Wren), Temple Island and the Henley Royal Regatta Course.
