THE Pig and Whistle pub has live music, its monthly bike meet, and the first ever Pig’s Got Talent, all coming up in the weeks ahead.
On Sunday 24th July, 4pm to 7pm, there is live music with an Elton John tribute act with all his greatest hits from the 1970s to the present day. The pub says, “Experience the magic of this unique rock n roll legend with classics such as Rocket Man, Your Song and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. With flamboyant costumes inspired by the great man himself the Elton John Experience will be sure to get you singing and dancing along to the music.”
For Saturday 30th July, the pub is hosting Pig’s Got Talent, a talent competition for all ages. The competition is open from 3pm to 10pm, with the kids’ competition from 3pm to 5pm, and the adults’ competition from 6pm to 10pm. There will also be a barbecue from 4pm.
The pub says, “Sing! Dance! Play an instrument! Whatever your talent, you’re welcome to enter. Entry is £2, and all monies raised will be donated to a local charity.”
On Thursday 21st July, the pub is hosting its monthly bike meet for all 2 wheeler enthusiasts, from 7pm to 9pm. The bike meet is held on the third Thursday of each month. The pub says, “Come on down to chat about all things bikes, grab a bite to eat, a beverage or just a chance to get out on your bike for a social.
