Bowerhill Ladies Group is open for new members to join on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:45pm at the Bowerhill Village Hall.
Their next meeting is on Tuesday 18th April, when speaker Lottie Dale from Bridgwater will be attending to talk about her adventures and escapades as a trainee nurse at St Bart’s Hospital.
Secretary of the group Angela Crocker said, “You do not need to live in Bowerhill, our members are from all areas of Melksham and the surrounding towns and villages. The usual format of the evening is a talk, which can last up to an hour, followed by refreshments and time for a chat. The subjects and activities are varied and include a trip out during the summer and sometimes a get together at a local pub.
“This year our topics include Devizes Castle and Great Chalfield Manor and we will be turning our hand to quilling and Christmas themed crafts. A trip on the Kennet and Avon Canal is planned for August.
“The meeting on Tuesday 18th April promises to be an interesting and fun evening. There will be no charge for visitors as we would like to encourage ladies to come along and see what we do, in the hope that we will gain a few new members. There will be a raffle and refreshments will be served.
“For more information contact Gill on 01225 971395 or just come along on Tuesday 18th April from 7:30pm. We would love to see you.”
