A TEACHER at Forest and Sandridge Primary School was surprised by colleagues and family with a party to mark her 25th anniversary at the school.
PE co-ordinator and year 1/2 class teacher, Liz Bell, who is the longest-serving member of staff at the school said about the surprise party, “That was really overwhelming, I thought I was going to cry!”
When asked to pick out a highlight of her time at the school, Liz struggled. “There are too many highlights to list, but I have such lovely colleagues and there have been amazing children – the most amazing, which is why I have stayed so long.”
Headteacher, Anna Willcox said, “Mrs Bell is a fantastic, dedicated and extremely hard-working teacher and she has remained consistent in this over the last 25 years.
“She has experienced many challenging changes in the education system over this time and she rises to each one of these, keeping her love of children and desire to achieve the best for each and every one of them at the heart of all she does. I feel very lucky to have her as part of my teaching team at Forest and Sandridge.”
