MELKSHAM’S Jack Meakin recently finished his Junior Saloon Car Championship season with two solid 6th places in front of a sell-out crowd of 25,000 at Brands Hatch.

After joining Westbourne Motorsport’s driver development programme in May, 17-year-old Jack competed in the final five rounds of the nine-round championship, consistently finishing inside the top 10 and placed 12th out of 37 competitors in the final championship standings, despite competing in only 11 of the 19 races.
Now a Motorsport UK Academy driver, studying at Loughborough College, Jack will step up from the junior class in 2022 as he takes on his next motorsport challenge. “This year has been a great step forward, moving from karts to cars,” said Jack. “I have learnt a lot, both on and off the track and I am really excited about 2022. It’s no secret that motor racing is a costly sport and I am looking to build partnerships to help me progress.”
