The Tavern Melksham is now THE destination for all your Basshouse and Bassline Music needs!
Thanks to MRGN Events, the popular Melksham venue will be hosting impressive line ups this year, including gigs from Pelikann, Jay Faded and FooR.
The Tavern Melksham’s resident DJ, Dan Morgan, is the creator of, and the organiser behind MRGN Events. He spoke to us about MRGN Events, and his plans for the future of Bass music nights in Melksham.
“The events started small but now they are so popular and music fans come from all over the county to the events,” he said. “The music is Bass but we also play Bassline, Basshouse and Garage.
“It’s fantastic for Melksham because otherwise music fans have to travel to Bristol, Bath or even London for a decent night out. It’s unique to Melksham and will hopefully continue to be supported by local people.
“I’m so passionate about this genre of music and for a long time I have wanted to bring this type of regular event to Melksham. We hold the music events on the last Saturday of the month as long as it’s after the 25th of the month. If not it will be the first Saturday of the following month.
“We’ve already had some great musicians and next up we have Pelikann on Saturday 1st July which is going to be great.
“The event we are most looking forward to is FooR who are a big name in the garage genre. They have hosted four sell out ‘Yosh’ events in the last year. Last year FooR became festival favourites playing some of the UK biggest festivals including EDC, Isle Of Wight, Bestival and Garage Nation. This really is a big deal.”
“FooR is a group of producers, musicians and DJs. Their music has featured on the nationwide radio stations Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss FM and more. FooR have appeared at festivals all over the UK entertaining thousands of dance music fans. Their most recent contribution to music is their highly impressive Pure Garage album which is available now.
The upcoming events are: Pelicann – 1st July , Jay Faded – 29th July , FooR – 30th September plus many more.
