Tickets are now on sale for Melksham Music and Drama’s production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which is being held on September 14th, 15th and 16th at Melksham Assembly Hall.
Organisers said, “We’ve had an ambition to perform this show for many years, but it was never available for amateur adult groups until recently. We were originally set to perform it in 2020. Unfortunately, the pandemic put paid to that then the show went on a nationwide tour but, luckily, we were able to get the license once again.
“The show is based on the Bible’s book of Genesis and is a much-loved family classic.
“Written in 1968 with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joseph features iconic pop musical theatre classics known around the world such as Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door and Go Go Joseph.
“Joseph has been performed in 86 countries and has starred many famous faces including Jason Donovan, Donny Osmond, Phillip Scofield, Alexandra Burke, Sheridan Smith, Darren Day, Stephen Gately, Gareth Gates, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, David Cassidy and more, and now it’s our turn!”
