A TOPS stylist is celebrating after coming in the top three highest achievers of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing Project X 2014 Team.
Vic Stevens has been part of the Project X team for 2014 and each month throughout the year she has taken part in training by a top stylist from major salons such as Sassoon Academy and Toni and Guy. During the training sessions Vic has been marked throughout each course on her attendance, appearance, interaction with the group and the mentors, her mood board and presentation. After the scores were added, she finished in the top three.
The Project X competition was entered by hundreds nationwide with just 14 selected to benefit from the mentoring sessions.
Vic said, “I am really pleased to have done so well and I really enjoyed it. The skills I have gained and developed will not only benefit me but also the salon. I never expected to do so well but I am really happy.
“I am looking at putting myself and the other staff members through more competitions and training in 2015 as I believe it has a positive impact on our abilities and it means our customers can benefit from a wider range of skills from the team. I would like to wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
