MELKSHAM estate agents Lock & Key has re-introduced its local schools’ initiative, where the company donates 10% of its selling fees to a local school.
Launched in 2019, the scheme has benefited schools including Forest & Sandridge CE Primary School, which was given £385 and purchased a ‘balanceability’ bike to help the early years children learn to ride bicycles; and St. Mary’s Broughton Gifford, which was given £375 that was used towards the development of a new vegetable sensory garden.
“We are thrilled to re-introduce our beloved local school initiative for 2024! The initial scheme launched in 2019 and was a remarkable success, significantly benefiting the schools and, most importantly, the children in our community,” says owner Nigel Fitzgerald. “At Lock & Key, we cherish the community of Melksham and its neighbouring villages and our bond with the local people has been the cornerstone of our success.
“Should you consider selling your property we encourage you to book your property valuation with us and mention the school initiative when we visit you at your property. So far, three schools have joined the scheme this year – Semington, Seend and Broughton Gifford.
“Upon completion of the sale, Lock & Key will give back 10% of our commission to your chosen school. This offer is extended to our clients who have ties to these schools. We kindly request that our clients indicate their affiliated school when giving us instructions so that we can include this in our terms of sale.”
