After Town’s match against Swindon, fans from both sides can settle down to watch England on the big screens at the ground from 3pm with the bar open and food available.
Chair of Melksham Town FC, Darren Perrin says, “This will be a cracking day for football fans. Not only will you get to enjoy Town taking on Swindon, but you can also cheer on the England squad at the bar afterwards on our giant TV screens. The bar will be fully-stocked and ready to help celebrate or drown your sorrows depending on the result!”
Town’s manager, Kieran Baggs said, “This will be a great showcase for fans to see some great local footballers playing at a professional level. It’ll also be a chance for fans get to see the new signings in action.
“Hopefully it’ll be a scorcher of a day and with England through to the quarter-finals, it will be a fantastic day of football!
“It’ll be good to blow away some of the cobwebs and hit the floor running, getting as much out of the game and all the upcoming training games as possible, helping us move into the new season – our first in the Southern League – with enthusiasm and determination.”
