MELKSHAM’s TV appearance on the upcoming new BBC show ‘Britain in Bloom’ has been ‘up-rooted’ and will appear a week earlier than first planned.
Melksham was one of 15 Britain in Bloom groups chosen to appear on the BBC show ‘Britain in Bloom,’ which features a film crew following the groups as they prune and prepare for the biggest day in community gardening.
Series-makers hoped to capture the flowering excitement as the groups vie to be recognised as one of the cleanest, greenest and most beautiful places in the country.
The series is now starting on Monday 16th of April at 6.30pm on BBC. This therefore has bought Melksham’s episode to Wednesday 25th April at 6.30pm.
The South West in Bloom, Melksham group have organised a live viewing of the episode at the Conservative Club on the night.
Kathy Iles, Chair of South West in Bloom Melksham, said, “The show starts at 6:30pm so if anyone that was involved in any way or has a particular interest wants to come to view it with us, please arrive in time to get a drink and be seated before the show begins.”
The series trailer is now available to watch on the RHS – Royal Horticultural Society’s Facebook page. There are a few familiar places and faces so keep an eye out!
