THE TransWilts CIC AGM will be held this Saturday, 28th April, from 10.30am.
Graham Ellis from the TransWilts Community Interest Company says, “The AGM will be followed by a members’ meeting at 11am. Presentations will be given on current Community Rail Partnership progress, plans and policy. This will be an introduction to an open forum discussion.
“All are welcome (although only members can vote at the AGM). The TransWilts team will be there early to allow members to sign in. The meeting venue is a short walk from Trowbridge Station platform 1 exit across Holy Trinity Church Roundabout.
“The TransWilts Community Interest Company brings together the community, public transport operators and local councils to help promote public and sustainable transport journeys to, from and within Wiltshire.
“The TransWilts Community Rail Partnership, which sits within the CIC, promotes the train services between Swindon and Westbury via Chippenham, Melksham and Trowbridge, and the stations at Chippenham and Melksham on that line. Membership of the Friends of TransWilts is open to all, and friends also become members of the company with a vote in the ongoing direction.
“In the year concluded for this AGM, TransWilts has seen activities as wide as a ministerial visit, launch of the TransWilts app, longer trains, and forward planning progress on new and upgraded stations (including Melksham) and further service enhancements. Please come along – or for further details email grahamellis@transwilts.org (community rail officer) or call 0845 459 0153.”
The AGM will be held at Bethesda Baptist Church, Gloucester Road, Trowbridge, BA14 0AA.
