THIS year’s tree planting campaign has been deferred until the autumn due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The scheme – which was set to take place in January, but delayed due to lockdown – would have offered Melksham Town Council and Melksham Without Parish Council residents free tree seedlings (whips) for planting in their private garden.
Instead, it is hoped that the campaign will be able to go ahead in the autumn this year, and again in spring next year.
The campaign was launched for the first time in January last year for town council residents; now it has been extended to include residents in Melksham Without.
