THERE’S non-stop entertainment at Melksham Assembly Hall in the coming weeks.
This Thursday, 28th March, Coldplace return to Melksham after their debut in 2018. Organisers say, “With over 13 years of experience on the tribute scene, having played over 700 shows across the globe, Coldplace certainly know how to deliver an authentic Coldplay experience. With a plethora of special effects including video and lasers, it’s a feast for both the eyes and the ears.
“For both the loyal Coldplay fans who have seen the spectacular Coldplay show, along with those who have yet to get around to experiencing it, be prepared for an exhilarating night of all of Coldplay’s hits from their entire back catalogue, including Viva La Vida, Fix You, Paradise and a Sky Full of Stars.” Tickets cost £20.
On Saturday 30th March, tribute band Faux Fighters comes to the Assembly Hall. The Faux Fighters is the brain child of front man Jamie Deighton who spent 12 months in Seattle back in the mid 90s and discovered the then newly-formed Foo Fighters. Ten years later he finally put together a tribute to his hero. The band played its first gig in November 2008 and toured up and down the UK for 5 years gigging tribute venues, festivals and private functions.
Promoters say, “Following a two-year break, the band are back together, bigger and better. Expect all the Foo’s classics and some album tracks for the hard-core fans. The UK’s ultimate tribute to the Foo Fighters with a look and sound alike Dave Grohl bring the feel of a stadium gig to your venue.”

On Sunday 31st March, treat your mum on Mother’s Day to an afternoon tea accompanied by classical crossover group ‘Bel Canto’. The duo say, “We will serenade you with a beautiful selection of enchanting arias, musical theatre masterpieces and popular ballads. All performed with a special classical twist.
Tickets cost £22.50 or £20 per person for groups of 10.
On Friday 5th April get ready for an unforgettable evening with new production, ‘Fastlove – A tribute to George Michael’, a show sure to put the ‘Boom Boom’ into your heart.

On Thursday 11th April, Derek Acorah, who is described as ‘Britain’s best loved and most entertaining medium’, comes to Melksham as part of his ‘The Eternal Life’ tour.
Derek shot to fame in the early 2000s with his role on ‘Most Haunted’, a British paranormal reality television series. He has also appeared on entertainment shows such as ‘Through The Keyhole’, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, ‘Celebrity Juice’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
Promoters say, “Derek is something of a phenomenon. A truly modern medium whose appeal crosses the generations to young and old alike, he remains the forerunner in the field of paranormal and spiritual matters.
