THE next Pilot Music Night will take place on Wednesday 18th February with the Twisted State of Mind headlining.
The band has recently been signed by Toil Records, a Philadelphia-based US record label, and will be recording their debut album in the UK in the near future. The organisers say they will probably become very hot property in the next year or so, despite the fact that they are still teenagers.
They say, “Twisted State Of Mind is a heavy rock/metal trio from Witney in Oxfordshire, who formed in 2011 after meeting up at a Saturday morning ‘rock school.’ Luke, Ben and Damon were just 12 when they first played The Pilot, Bowerhill, and really impressed everyone with their musical expertise, performance skills and songwriting. So much so that a couple of the teen fans they acquired that evening appeared in a video they made to accompany the release of their first single “Rise.”
“Since then, they have had a public spat with David Cameron, appeared on stage with Duff McKlagan ( ex-Guns n’ Roses), Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet and Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden; toured the US East coast in 2013 and played The Pilot again!
“They were invited back to the USA for a short tour in 2014, after which they were signed to a mightily impressed Toil Records.”
After a recent gig at the Oxford O2, the Oxford Nightshift commented that (the future of), “rock music …is in safe hands.”
