IN the mood for a boogie? Why not head to the White Hart for some live music.
For St Patrick’s Day this Saturday, 17th March, the White Hart will be throwing a party to remember with folk-rock band Billy in the Lowground.
With a distinct Irish influence, courtesy of fiddle player Ruth Behan, Billy in the Lowground’s sound is continuously evolving, incorporating elements of Americana, Rock, and Country. Comparisons are sometimes made with the Waterboys and the Levellers, but there’s a distinctive tone to the band that’s all their own.
They’ve played hundreds of gigs in pubs, clubs, and venues large and small all over the UK since they formed in 1991, as well as too many festivals to count.
The band will perform from 9pm until 11.30pm.
Pink Floyd fans are invited to dance the night away on Sunday 25th March for a special night centred on the music of Pink Floyd performed by singer/guitarist James Hollingsworth. Featuring some of James’s own songs, this is an all-live unique solo show, with James using modern looping technology, with live percussion, voice and guitar effects to build complex arrangements in real time. You can hear James from 4pm until 7pm.
