Vandalism at Bowerhill picnic area

Vandals have struck again at the award winning Bowerhill Residents Action Group (BRAG) picnic area next to the Kennet and Avon canal.

Chairman Mike Mills said, “The sign showing disabled visitors the way to access the picnic area has been broken in two. BRAG made the picnic area accessible to people with  restricted mobility and wheelchairs so that everyone can enjoy the  area. So why break the sign in two?

“The sign will be replaced but as a community group we have no money of our own as we rely on grants from Melksham Without Parish Council and  other organisations. Some people have no respect for other people’s property.”
