THE White Hart at Atworth is this month hosting its regular vinyl night, live music and a big charity event for all the community to get involved with.
On Sunday 12th May, the pub will be hosting its ‘Vinyl Night’, inviting everyone to bring in their own vinyl records to share, or to listen to the pub’s own selection.
Organisers say, “Join us for another brilliant night of singing, dancing or just sharing! Let us know your music knowledge and bring your own vinyl to play/share. Everyone welcome. The night runs from 5pm to 8pm.”
On Sunday 19th May from 11am to 11pm, the White Hart will be hosting a charity ‘cyclothon’ to raise money for the ‘Melksham Crisis Fund’- an emergency fund for local people that works alongside the Melksham Foodbank.
Organisers say, “Support, cycle, and donate from 11am to 11pm. There will be: coffee & cake 11am – 12pm; smoothie bar 11am – 3pm; lunch served 12pm – 4pm; book/DVD sale 11am – 5pm; live music from 5pm; and chilli served 8pm – 10pm.
“We will also be collecting non-perishable food donations for Melksham Food Bank.”
Music on Sunday 19th May, will be brought to the pub by Guitar Greats Tribute. From 5pm the music will start with Hank Marvin in the early 60s, moving to Hendrix, then on to Clapton, then Knopfler and Gary Moore. This is one musical act that shouldn’t be missed.
