AT the end of August, the doors of St Katharine’s Church in Holt will be opened to visitors from right across the region as they come to see… to enjoy… and to pause over a stunning flower festival, the first in the church for over 10 years.
Designed by Margaret Murray, a Holt resident but famous across the South West for her work with floral art, and created by volunteer arrangers from Holt and the nearby Bradford on Avon Flower Club, the festival will celebrate summer and the coming autumn in bold modern arrangements – both simple and striking.
Running from Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September, the festival with its vibrant colours and ‘wow’ factor shapes and ideas, is open from 10.30am to 6.00pm each day (2.30 to 6.00pm on Sunday). There will be craft stalls, selling pottery, floral feltwork, prints and postcards, and home-made cakes, teas and coffees will be available throughout the day.
Admission £5, and all funds raised to St Katharine’s Church.
