MELKSHAM Seniors 55+ Forum is looking for people aged 65 and over who have recently used certain healthcare services, to take part in a study with Plymouth University.
The study is looking for patients or their carers or representatives who have recent experience of hospital orthopaedics, hospital ophthalmology, community health services, or GP out-of-hours services.
Volunteers will be asked to attend a focus group at Thornbank on King Street on Tuesday 27th October. The event will include a personal interview taking 30-60 minutes to complete.
It will mainly be factual questions about the person’s choice and experience of the provider, and the type and quality of care received.
All comments will be kept confidential and the interview, once transcribed, will be anonymous.
The aim of the study, funded by the Department of Health, is to explore how healthcare service providers differ in terms of managing and providing services, service quality, patient experience and innovation.
The study will take place from 10.45am and last approximately two hours. Travel expenses will be met and an honorarium of £50 in vouchers is available.
If you would like to get involved or find out more contact Brian Warwick before 19th October. Brian is available via email on brian.warwick@mac.com or by calling 01225 792959.
