With Melksham Comic-Con 2014 approaching fast, the planning team are looking for friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic volunteers to join them and help deliver a bigger, better event than ever before!
Matt Gatty from Melksham Comic Con said, “Experience to add to your CV? Do you just want the chance to meet and socialise with new people? Then we want to hear from you!
“We are looking for hard-working, approachable and committed people to become volunteer Brians (our collective name for people that work at the convention. Ask us and we’ll explain it!). As our convention continues to grow, we need awesome people to help us make it even better!
“For those that are aged 16 or over, there is the opportunity to work at the convention itself, so volunteers will need to be friendly and sociable, ready to talk to attendees and help them to have a brilliant weekend. They will also have to be prepared to work up to eight hours across the weekend, to be split into shifts.
“Those under 16 are unfortunately not eligible to work at the convention, but will still get free entry by helping us to deliver flyers and posters around town in the run-up to the event (they must also get a consent form from their parent or guardian).
“If you have any more questions (or indeed, if you wish to sign up immediately), contact Hayley Spencer by emailing hay ley@melkshamcomiccon .com or pay her a visit at Komix Melksham!”
