ORGANISERS of this year’s carnival are warning the public about balloon sellers.
Secretary to Melksham Carnival, Beth Clark said, “We want to stop the balloon sellers in the procession this year. They are nothing to do with us and make a fortune every year.
“Last year they went into a child’s playground and had photos taken with children for money and we have no idea who these individuals are which is very disturbing.
“The public need to be aware of this. The police seem to be unable to stop them, so it falls to us to try to make life as difficult as possible for them.”
