THE ladies of the Melksham branch of the Children’s Society committee say they are delighted to be again organising the very popular Melksham Open Gardens event.
The group report, “After last year’s enforced break in social activities, many people took to their gardens and now we can offer you the chance to admire the results of their labours in the afternoon of Sunday 25th July, and at the same time raise money for the valuable work of The Children’s Society.
“The Open Gardens scheme is very popular in many towns and villages throughout the UK bringing great pleasure to garden lovers and raising much money for charity. The gardeners of Melksham have always been very supportive of this event and help to make it a really worthwhile occasion. In the past we have usually had well over a dozen gardens of all types and sizes to explore and enjoy.
“There will also be cream teas available in Place Road for when a sit down and a rest is required.
