THE White Hart in Atworth has its open mic night, charity quiz, classic car meet and live music, all coming up in the weeks ahead.
On Sunday 10th July, 5pm to 7pm, it’s open mic night supporting new and raw talent, originals and covers and local musicians! This is a fortnightly Sunday event starting from 5pm. On Monday 18th July it’s the charity pub quiz, from 8pm to 10pm. “Come and join us for a quiz full of great questions and random bonus rounds,” says the pub. “If you’ve been to one of our quizzes before, then you will know that they are like no other! Four rounds of 10 questions on various subjects, plus bonus. Entry is £2.50 per person, with a maximum of 4 per team.
“We will be raising money for local groups and charities – the beneficiary changes monthly. Please get in touch to nominate a charity. So grab your friends and families and come to test your knowledge at one of our monthly quizzes.”
On Tuesday 19th July the pub is hosting its monthly vintage car club get together, from 7pm to 9pm. The pub says, “This car meet is hosted every third Tuesday of the month, all are welcome old car or not. So come on down to chat about all things cars, grab a bite to eat, a beverage or treat it as just a chance to get out in your car for a social. Contact Mike on: mikesythes@btinternet.com.”
On Friday 22nd July, 9pm to 11pm, there is live music from Covergirl. “Covergirl are one of the UK’s top live covers bands, fronted by superb female vocalist Tracey Jones and backed by an excellent group of musicians with songs from all eras of pop and rock including current hits,” says the White Hart.
