Staff from Somerset Care’s Wiltshire team were delighted to welcome Fraser Bear to their offices in Melksham. Fraser Bear is the mascot for the charity Believe – organ donor support.
The charity was established by Anna-Louise Bates in memory of her husband, Stuart, and son, Fraser (Bear) Bates, and aims to promote and support organ donation across Wales and beyond.
The reason for Fraser Bear’s visit was to get his measurements for a tailor-made suit, which he will wear to an upcoming charity ball. Being an organ donor herself, Wiltshire Community Services staff member, Linda, couldn’t pass on the opportunity to offer up her sewing skills to make a suit for the bear and support the charity.
Business Manager, Jenny Futcher said, “We’re all so proud of Linda for using her talents to support this charity. We can’t wait to see Fraser Bear looking dapper in his suit.”
