Churches from all over Wiltshire are preparing for an exciting time of outreach called The Turning.
“Through the Turning, Christians have been able to spread the good news of Jesus to thousands of people all over the UK and Europe,” said John Firth of the GoodNews Church. “Having been a great success with lots of stories of people’s lives changed in many cities, the last two weeks in June mark the beginning of The Turning Wiltshire, an ongoing ministry that is designed to help churches reach into the communities they serve.
“The Turning began dramatically in 2016 when Christians from many of the churches in Reading came together, led by Pastor Yinka Oyekam from The Gate Baptist Church in Reading.
“This exciting time is about activating people in the churches to help others discover the amazing love that God has for them. In a day when so many news stories highlight the effects of hurt, abuse, and rejection on the lives of so many, a good news message about God’s love and the desire He has for people everywhere to experience His amazing grace and love.
“The Turning Wiltshire will begin with a launch event for North and West Wiltshire at 7pm on Thursday 21st June at the Melksham Assembly Hall. Yinka Oyekam will be addressing the meeting and sharing the vision of The Turning. Everyone is welcome to come and join us there.
“There will be a launch event for the southern part of the county in Salisbury that same evening.”
