A woman was taken to hospital with a serious head injury following a collision near Shaw in the early hours of the morning of 28th February.
Wiltshire Police report, “Shortly before 1.30am, a silver Kia Cee’d was being driven on the B3353 towards Melksham through Whitley.
“For reasons which are currently unknown, the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a bend near to Shaw C of E Primary School and collided with a wall.
“The driver, a woman aged in her 20s from the Corsham area, suffered multiple injuries including a serious head injury and was initially taken to the Royal United Hospital.
“She has since been transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and is believed to be in a life-threatening condition. Her family have been informed.
“No other vehicles were involved and nobody else was injured during the collision. The road was closed until approximately 8am while collision investigators attended the scene and the incident was cleared.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle prior to the collision should call 101 and quote log number 11 of February 28.”
