A TOP prize of £3,000 is on offer in Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s Grand Christmas Draw. As well as the opportunity to win a prize, people who take part will be supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The draw is a vital source of fundraising income for the charity, which has to raise £3.25million a year to keep its lifesaving helicopter and crew flying.
Suzanna Hext, a Wiltshire Air Ambulance ambassador and an international para dressage horse rider, is supporting the draw.
Suzanna, of Cirencester, suffered serious injuries in a horse riding accident at Marston Meysey in July 2012 and was flown to hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Two years later she started riding again and now competes at international level in para and high level able-bodied dressage competitions and this summer she represented Great Britain at the Para European Championships in Sweden and won three gold medals.
She said, “I honestly never thought I’d get my life back to this extent after my accident. Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a vital service that we couldn’t do without, especially in rural locations. Due to the severity of my injuries, I needed the quickest response and Wiltshire Air Ambulance provided that. If they hadn’t got me to hospital quickly, the outcome could have been very different.
“I’m proud to support Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s Grand Christmas Draw 2017. This is a vital source of fundraising income for the charity. Every ticket sold will help ensure that this lifesaving charity can be there for people when they need it most.”
Grand Christmas Draw tickets are available from the Wiltshire Air Ambulance charity shops in Maristow Street, Westbury, and in Maryport Street, Devizes, or by calling the charity team on 01380 739453 or emailing hello@wiltshireairambulance.co.uk
As well as a first prize of £3,000, there are runner-up prizes of £500, £100 and £50. The closing date is 3rd January 2018, with the draw taking place on 8th January 2018.
For those who return their tickets by 1st December, there will be an Early Bird draw with the chance to win a £100 Marks & Spencer voucher.
Players must be aged 16 or over.
