MELKSHAM people will have the chance to find out more about the work of Wiltshire Council, at the next Ask the Leader of the Council event that takes place at the Melksham Community Campus on Tuesday 28th November.
People are encouraged to ask any questions about the council, its objectives and priorities and the challenges ahead. The events are an opportunity to put questions directly to the leader of the council, Cllr Richard Clewer and hear his thoughts and plans for the future.
Events are being held in each community area so they are convenient for people to attend and questions are relevant to the local area. Previous events have taken place in Chippenham, Devizes, Westbury, Trowbridge, Salisbury, Southern Wiltshire and Calne.
Cllr Richard Clewer, said, “Thank you to everyone who came along to the Ask the Leader event in Calne, it was really useful to meet people face to face and hear their experiences of local issues. We had some really good discussions around possible solutions to local issues, which I will now take forward and explore.
“The next event takes place in Melksham on Tuesday 28th November and I would encourage residents to come along and ask me any questions and find out more about the work we are doing.
“These events are a great way to ensure our priorities reflect those of our local communities. If people can’t make the event but would still like to ask a question, they can submit it in advance to: communications@wiltshire.gov.uk”
The event is at Melksham Campus in the library on Tuesday 28th November, from 6pm to 7.30pm.
