MELKSHAM-based groups On The Block Training and The Contender Gym undertook a 10,000 burpee challenge last month, raising nearly £900 for charity.
Money raised from the challenge was donated to local mental health charity, Mind.
On The Block Training worked in collaboration with The Contender Gym to participate in completing 10,000 burpees across November. Owner of Dragons Lair MMA, Leanna Pike, and owner of The Contender Gym, Mark Kent, were the official adjudicators for ‘On The Block’ and filmed the event for authenticity.
“Anyone that has done some burpees will know that this is by no means an easy challenge to undertake,” said the group.
“Participants from On The Block Training were Helen Holloway, Danielle Clements, Nicola Hazell, Harriet Kelly McKenzie, Sarah Church and Tracy Steel. Participants from The Contender Gym were Rocco Richards, Dan Murphy, James Cameron, Bill West, Ellis Holloway, and Luke Mayne.
