Swindon Town were the visitors to the Oakfield Stadium on Saturday 8th July when they brought their entire 1st team squad for a pre-season friendly.
Swindon ran out 5-0 winners in front of a bumper crowd of 1,514 supporters.
“Again, it was a very good performance, although the players tired quite a lot in the second half, which is no surprise having played three full time Football League opposition in a week,” said club chairman Darren Perrin.
“To have had over 4,000 supporters visit and see our fantastic facilities in the three games against Swindon, Forest Green Rovers and Bristol Rovers was brilliant for all concerned and huge credit to our groundsman and his team for getting the pitch in fantastic condition.
“This coming Saturday we play our last home pre-season fixture against Ascot United who are the current FA Vase holders. This will be another stern test for the lads as they look to get ready for Saturday 5th August when we travel to the Isle of Wight to play Cowes Sports in the FA Cup. Kick-off is at 2pm.”
