THE ladies of the local Children’s Society are busy preparing for this year’s Open Garden event which will take place on Sunday 24th July.
They say, “There will be 18 gardens open to the public from 1pm to 6pm on the Sunday afternoon. There are many old favourites and some exciting new gardens. Cream teas will be served as usual in Place Road.
“Do come along to enjoy the efforts of these hardworking gardeners and to perhaps seek inspiration for your own garden.
“Tickets for the gardens can be bought in advance from the Tourist Information Centre in Church Street or from the steps of the Town Hall on the day from 1pm. Tickets cost just £5 and there is no charge for children.”
Money raised from the event is in aid of The Children’s Society.
