Having decided to bat first, the hosts were soon in trouble losing 2 quick wickets as Fry and Hartsleiff bowled with accuracy, pace and movement, Roy Veacock (24) and Matt Hunt (46) started the fight back with an 84 run partnership.
Pick of the Avebury bowlers were Pete Force Jones 4/28 & Dominic Fry 3/13. Unfortunately none of the other batsmen apart from Chris Singh (38) were able to stay at the crease long enough to build a meaningful partnership as the innings petered out to 145 all out.
This target was never really going to test the Avebury batsmen. They did lose 3 wickets in the chase but easily reached their target in the 30th over. Pick of the home bowlers was Dan Carpenter with 1/15 off 9.
