A teenage boy who suffered a devastating brain tumour, is one of the beneficiaries of a concert which will be given by Melksham’s community choir, Macapello, this month.
Kale, 14, was diagnosed with a tumour on his brain stem last year. Since then, he has had two bleeds on the brain and is unable to communicate; his future is uncertain. The ‘A Home For Kale’ charity has been set up to help Kale’s family find a home that can be adapted to his needs.
Macapello choir will be giving a concert – An Uplifting Evening of Heartfelt Harmony and Soulful Singing – at the Baptist Church, Old Broughton Rd. on Wednesday 24th July 24th at 7.30pm, to help raise money for ‘A Home for Kale’. They will also be raising money for Julia’s House children’s hospice.
Macapello sing all kinds of songs from all round the world in glorious 4-part unaccompanied harmony, and their special guests at the concert will be the Melksham Ukulele Social Club. Tickets are £6 in advance from (email) ebidondi@ uwclub.net (tel.) 01225 920400, or £8/£7 concs. on the door; refreshments will be available.
