A NEW power-assisted front door has been installed at the Arthouse Café, improving accessibility for customers with mobility issues.
The door sill in the entrance to the popular Market Place café – which is run by Melksham Rotary to raise money for charity – has also been lowered to provide easier access.
The improvements were made possible by a £995 grant from the Melksham Area Board.
The club says, “Our previous door was very heavy, and was difficult for elderly and wheelchair customers to negotiate, especially in wet weather.
“The new door will make it easier for everyone to access the café, and we look forward to welcoming some new customers hopefully!”
The Arthouse Café is open Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 3pm.
