Gym users can make use of new equipment and more training space following improvements at Melksham Community Campus.
The gym has been rearranged to create a larger free weights area and provide more options for strength and functional training.
New additions include cable machines, assisted strength equipment and resistance and conditioning equipment for upper and lower body workouts.
David Redfern, Wiltshire Council’s director of leisure, culture and communities, said, “We’re delighted to welcome members to the refreshed gym at Melksham Community Campus. The new layout and equipment provide more space and a greater range of training options, whether members are looking to improve their fitness, build strength, support their wellbeing or simply become more active.
“Leisure centres play an important role in helping residents stay active and healthy, and the refreshed gym at Melksham offers more space and a wider range of equipment to support different fitness goals and abilities.
“Whether you’re already a regular gym user or thinking about joining for the first time, there’s never been a better time to come and see what the upgraded facility has to offer.”
The changes come alongside a membership offer for new customers. Until 25th October, those signing up to eligible Life Zone and Fitness Zone memberships will not have to pay the £25 administration fee.
