Music talent from across Wiltshire will be recognised at a county awards ceremony in Melksham next month.
The Wiltshire Music Awards will take place at Melksham Assembly Hall on Saturday 14th November, with winners chosen across 14 categories.
More than 850 nominations were received, with a panel of judges, including one from Los Angeles, researching the finalists before deciding the winners.
Among those shortlisted is Melksham DJ James Threlfall, who is nominated in the Best Desk DJ category.
Five acts will perform during the ceremony, which will also include awards recognising music venues, original and covers bands, solo artists, newcomers and contributions to music in the community.
Organiser Eddie Prestidge said, “The amount of talent in the Wiltshire music scene is often overlooked. This is their chance to shine. There are big surprises throughout the night. This year, we think we’ve hit the nail on the head.”
The ceremony runs from 7pm to 10pm, with live performances between the award announcements.
The awards will be followed by an after-party at the Assembly Hall from 10.30pm, featuring DJ Alex and The Unpredictables.
Tickets are available online at wiltshiremusicawards.uk.
