Melksham’s Hamza Uddin has launched his own business as a self-employed estate agent, offering a personal, dedicated service to those looking to buy or sell their homes.
Hamza, who trained for two years with a leading Andrews Estate Agents in Bath, is now operating under the Jaine Whitfield brand and is part of EXP UK, one of the country’s fastest-growing estate agency networks.
Hamza says his move into property was something of a happy accident. “I never thought I was going to be an estate agent,” he said. “But as soon as I joined, I fell in love with it — with property, and with helping people. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone move into their dream home and making the process as easy as possible.”
Now working for himself, Hamza is offering a bespoke service where clients deal directly with him from start to finish. Supported by a dedicated admin and marketing team at Whitfields, Hamza promises a hands-on, customer-focused approach, with just a small number of properties on his books at any one time to ensure each gets his full attention.
“Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions people make and can be a really stressful time,” he said. “That’s why I go above and beyond to make sure every client feels supported and guided through every step of the process. It’s about genuine care and delivering results.
“My aim is to make sure everything runs smoothly and to avoid any hiccups along the way,” he explained. “Pricing the property is key, and I work hard to achieve – and often exceed – asking prices for my clients.”
Hamza offers a no-obligation market appraisal service and works seven days a week to maximise his clients’ chances of a successful sale. His marketing approach includes professional photography, high-quality video tours, walkthroughs, and listings across all the leading property websites, including Rightmove and Zoopla and his own social media.
With spring being one of the best times of the year to sell and mortgage rates beginning to come down, Hamza believes the local market remains strong and encourages anyone thinking of selling to get in touch.
In addition to his new venture, Hamza is well-known locally through his family’s business, Refa Tandoori in Melksham Market Place, where he still helps out when needed. “I’d like to think we have a good reputation in town for supporting the community,” he said, “and that’s something I want to carry forward into my estate agency business too.”
