LOCAL Sunday league team, AFC Melksham, has joined Melksham Town FC ahead of the town club’s huge move to Woolmore Farm this year.
The club, which last year won the Chippenham & District Sunday League’s Premier Division, will now fall under the umbrella of the town’s main football club.
Melksham Town chairman Dave Wiltshire said, “We welcome the long-standing Sunday team AFC Melksham, and are excited to have them as an addition to our ever-growing community club.”
Mike Rogers will continue to manage the side and hopes to bring more silverware to the team’s already groaning trophy cabinet.
